Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they provide a different prompt and book bloggers, like me, share top ten lists.
This week’s topic is Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List.
There were so many books from last year that I would still like to read. Most of them because they came recommended by other readers.
The details:
- Inside the O’Briens by Lisa Genova {for review / Gallery Books: April 7, 2015}: Genova’s 2008 debut, Still Alice, has recently been adapted in to a movie and with it came huge praise. So when I noticed Inside the O’Briens and read the harrowing synopsis, I knew I wanted to read it.
- The Happy Hour Choir by Sally Kilpatrick {for review / Kensington Books: April 28, 2015}: The cover of this debut caught my eye, and then there was some chatter on Twitter and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to review The Happy Hour Choir.
- Hugo & Rose by Bridget Foley {for review / St. Martin’s Press: May 5, 2015}: One of my most anticipated debuts of this year about a woman who meets the man she has been dreaming of all her life.
- Sweet Forgiveness by Lori Nelson Spielman {for review / Plume: June 2, 2015}: I have had Spielman’s debut, The Life List, on my reading list for months. Traveling with T gave it a glowing review so naturally I had to check out her upcoming release.
- The Third Wife by Lisa Jewell {for review / Atria: June 9, 2015}: A new Lisa Jewell novel. I didn’t need any further persuasion.
- Finders Keepers by Stephen King {preorder / Scribner: June 2, 2015}: see above but replace with “Stephen King”.
- Cover of Snow by Jenny Milchman: Another book that has taken me a while to get to, but it’s sat on the little table now in a pile of upcoming reads. So…soon!!
- Columbine by Dave Cullen: I snagged a bargain copy from Book Outlet a couple of weeks ago. I know it’s going to be tough to read, so I’m waiting for the right mood before I tackle it.
- My Sunshine Away by M. O. Walsh: One of the most buzzed about books so far this year and I won a copy!
- The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane by Kelly Harms: I think this will be a short and sweet read, something I can use as a buffer between some more emotional books. My Sunshine Away and Inside the O’Briens…I’m looking at YOU!
Columbine is a tough read, but I don’t regret taking the time to do so. I agree that you need to be in the right mood to read it.
Kay @ It’s a Book Life recently posted…TTT #34: My Spring TBR List
I was going to try and just read a bit here and there, but I feel as though once I start I won’t want to put it down. Hopefully the mood will strike sooner rather than later because it is one I’ve been wanting to read for a long time.
